seeks an energetic and focused Electronics Technician for our Test Labs Department.
NMOA (St. Charles, IL), headquarters our family of Companies with facilities in the USA, Canada, Germany and Mexico.
As a world leader in sensing and control technology, we control the most discrete functions within an automobile – from seat switches, power window switches, and instrument panel controls, towards complex user interfaces. NMOA is directly involved with automotive OEM’s and holds a leadership position within Nidec for product development with global vehicle makers.
What you’ll do
Build prototypes and assist design engineers in various development tasks.
Assist with various component testing and programming activities.
Help set-up and tear down test tools used to validate product.
Collect and manage records and test data used for analysis of product.
Perform preventative maintenance duties on test tools.
Maintain stock of lab supplies and cleanliness of lab areas.
Assist with electronic part procurement.
Operate test equipment, test stands, and environmental chambers.
Performs other job related and support activity duties as required.
Coordinate calibration to maintain quality assurance to provide accurate results to OEM's.
Contribute to provide improvement on test operations.
Create test reports and test plans utilizing 5S concepts.
What we’re looking for
Basic soldering skills of electronic components and PCB level repair REQUIRED
Knowledge of SMT rework and repair a plus.
Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
Ability to use common hand tools effectively.
Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel.
Organized and detail oriented.
Good written and oral communication.
Education:
Associate’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
