Plan, direct and supervise the maintenance program. Orient, instruct, supervise and work alongside other maintenance personnel. Assign duties and evaluate work performance. Requisition supplies and equipment for use in department activities. Keep records of work performed and costs involved. Coordinate work of maintenance department with the mill. Advise and consult with management on maintenance and repair needs. Direct and/or perform duties concerning maintenance of machinery. Be responsible for the care and use of supplies and maintenance equipment used in performance of duties. Keep adequate records. Be able to take emergency calls and be on call as needed. Cooperate with other employees and customers. Perform other duties as assigned. What you’ll need
High school graduate or graduate of a technical school. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in maintenance. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting as well as PLC experience. Experience evaluating and training team members. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, mechanical and electrical drawings. Ability to plan and carry out programs in repair or new construction and/or installation. Ability to direct others. Knowledge of record keeping and cost estimating. Knowledge of supplies and equipment used by maintenance department and the care of this equipment. Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with others. What we offer
