Supervisor - Maintenance

Position Brand Description The Leader is responsible for the technical and administrative leadership of the Production Maintenance Team responsible for execution of maintenance supporting the site, plant, or flow, and for ensuring consistent application of proactive maintenance and reliability programs.
Key Objectives/Deliverables
Safety – Ensures that all team members are knowledgeable and compliant regarding safety procedures, policies, permits and practices. Initiates and leads accident, near miss reviews and incident notifications. Ensures proper housekeeping procedures are maintained.
Quality – Responsible for team’s compliance and meeting the quality standards as defined by cGMPs, the Global Quality Standards, local procedures.
Manage People Effectively – Responsible for managing daily maintenance operations across shifts up to 7 days a week, including attendance, overtime, operational issues, performance management, development planning and reporting of results.
Maintenance Excellence – Ensuring quality of Maintenance Execution and RFU.
Responsible for Team Training and Development and ensuring team is current on training prior to assigning work.
Responsible for Maintenance KPI’s associated with Team’s performance.
Aligns Team Priorities to Support Production Plan.
Interfaces with customers to insure alignment.
Completing weekly Practice vs Procedure Checks.
Reviewing a sampling of executed Work Orders.
Investigates Team deviations as needed.
Owns incident reporting, investigating, and corrective measures.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Five years of manufacturing or maintenance experience.
Completion of Post Offer Exam, or completion of Work Simulation if applicable.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H‑1B or TN status).
Additional Preferences
Previous supervisory/leadership experience desired.
Knowledgeable of Parenteral Engineering or Maintenance operations and processes or other GMP manufacturing experience.
Formulation and Filling Knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally multi-level within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and feedback.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, set objectives and meet targets.
Demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service.
Demonstrated ability to work without close supervision.
Demonstrated ability in problem solving.
CMMS experience desired.
Additional Information
Position supports a 24/7 operation and is expected to be flexible in maintaining availability for support in decision making and issue resolution as necessary to operate the facility.
Schedule is 3–2–2–3 Dayshift.
Must be willing to work overtime during peak periods (shutdowns, etc.).
Must be willing to carry a cell phone and respond to off‑hour emergencies when necessary.
Some allergens are present in the parenteral plant. Mobility requirements and exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position.
Minimal travel required.
