Job Title: Machine Builder Lead
Job Description
This role involves working as a Machine Builder during the 1st shift, Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturdays from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The position is located in Grand Rapids and Plymouth, with four openings available at each location.
Responsibilities
Perform assembly of machined and purchased components.
Handle the MIM (Motor in Middle) chassis dyno for heavy‑duty road simulation and emission testing.
Operate the Model 3600 Roll Brake Tester for dynamic vehicle testing.
Utilize the Centering System 7112 to position vehicles in the test station using pneumatic cylinders.
Conduct production line measuring, verification, and adjustments of vehicle alignment using a laser‑based system.
Essential Skills
Ability to build components required for machine functions.
Basic understanding of blueprints and schematics.
Proficiency in using basic hand tools.
Ability to wire junction boxes.
5 years of experience in machine building.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in machine building and assembly.
Knowledge in blueprint reading, electrical wiring, TIG and MIG welding.
Skills in mechanical and electrical assembly.

Work Environment The facility is a custom machine building environment located in Grand Rapids. Products are built entirely in‑house, starting in the fabrication shop, moving through the CNC department, and then to machine build and paint. The work environment is clean and operates on a two‑shift basis.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 – $30.00/hr.
