Job Summary As Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee all maintenance and reliability projects at the manufacturing site. You will develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshoot production equipment, manage root‑cause analysis, supervise contractors, support capital improvement projects, train employees on safety equipment, and collaborate with department heads to ensure safe and effective operations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate procurement of new equipment, parts, supplies, and consumables to maintain manufacturing efficiencies and meet health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Schedule and supervise repair and preventive maintenance for all manufacturing equipment, recording PM and repair logs to achieve a minimum of 90% equipment uptime.

Identify and establish standards for equipment repair, setup, and operation.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, implementing actions that increase productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Define and monitor quality, cost, and delivery objectives for external subcontractors performing ordinary and major maintenance tasks.

Maintain knowledge of key equipment, including electrical mixers, vacuum pumps and steam reactors, boilers, air compressors and dryers, drum lifters, floor & bench scales, paper compactors, carton sealers, and liquid transfer pumps.

Recommend and enforce safety policies related to equipment, ensuring controls are tested and reliable.

Keep maintenance documentation current and manage the computerized maintenance management system.

Directly supervise employees, performing duties such as interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Work Environment & EHS Responsibilities

Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, weather conditions, electrical shock, and vibration.

Noise level is usually moderate; hearing protection required in designated areas.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., don & wear required personal protective equipment, and navigate uneven surfaces, stairs, and ladders.

Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology or related discipline, or a professional certification such as Journeyman Electrician, plus five or more years of related experience (or equivalent education/experience).

Experience with PLC controllers and Distributed Control Systems (DCS), preferably Siemens APACS or PCS7.

Minimum of 5 years of related experience; prior supervisory experience highly preferred.

Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.

Proficiency in root‑cause analysis tools to reduce downtime.

Experience managing projects and overseeing contractors.

Proficiency with computers for PM record keeping.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Bi‑Lingual ability in English and Spanish is a plus.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements, the expected pay range for this position is $92,000‑$105,000.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other factors as permitted by law. This position also qualifies for full benefits.
