Product Engineer for our Ford Business Unit
for our Tech Center in Auburn Hills, MI.
The
Product Engineer
is responsible for managing and developing new product for the Tiers customer programs with focus on internal and external customer deliverables to include design and part feasibilities. This position sits fully onsite in Auburn Hills, MI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and communicate development of new product - daily
Support design activities of new product - daily
Manage testing requirements for new products - as required
Maintain and manage ED&T budgets for each assigned program - weekly
Support APQP database (Phase 0 & 1) for each assigned program – weekly
Creating and maintaining DFMEA, DVP, Open Issues
Support USF customers with ongoing communication meetings – weekly
Support tool trials and pre-production build activities, as needed
Support launch activities at USF manufacturing and customer sites throughout launch and SOP Post 90 activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent job experience preferred.
Minimum 4 to 6 years of automotive engineering experience
Plastic injection molding knowledge
