Opening: Sr. Telecom Engineer City: Fife, WA WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead the design and engineering of complex telecommunications systems, including fiber optic networks, copper outside plant systems, structured cabling, wireless solutions, and supporting infrastructure. Develop and oversee high-quality engineering deliverables such as construction drawings, splicing plans, bills of materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and testing and acceptance documentation. Direct site surveys, feasibility studies, network assessments, and system evaluations to define optimal, scalable solutions aligned with customer and business objectives. Provide senior technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, from conceptual planning and detailed design through installation support, testing, and final project closeout. Serve as a technical authority, collaborating with project managers, field leadership, clients, and vendors to resolve complex challenges and ensure successful project execution. Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network, cabling, and system issues, providing root‑cause analysis and long‑term corrective solutions. Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable industry standards (NEC, BICSI, TIA/EIA, and local codes) as well as company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, designers, and technicians; contribute to training programs and knowledge‑sharing initiatives. Review and approve engineering documentation to ensure technical accuracy, constructability, and completeness. Provide technical input and leadership for RFP responses, cost estimating, and development of competitive technical proposals. Build and maintain strong client relationships through direct technical engagement, supporting repeat business and long‑term partnerships. Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, developing new clients, and expanding service offerings within the company’s solutions portfolio. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent hands‑on experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in telecommunications engineering and/or network infrastructure design. Extensive knowledge of fiber optic systems, outside plant (OSP) design, structured cabling, and overall network architecture. Proficiency with industry‑standard engineering and design tools, including AutoCAD, GIS platforms, and OSP design software. Proven ability to lead and manage complex technical projects while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills. Preferred professional certifications include BICSI RCDD, Professional Engineer (PE), FOA, or comparable credentials. Preferred experience working with utility companies, municipalities, or large‑scale commercial clients. Familiarity with CMV/CDL‑related project requirements is preferred. NEXT STEPS
