Description Position at JBS USA Fabrication MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR Maintenance Souderton, Pennsylvania
Responsibilities Maintains systems and equipment, restores, repairs, rebuilds or replaces faulty or inoperative components and parts; supervising staff, on the spot decision making.
Duties
Maintenance scheduling, coaching, planning, communicating job expectations, enforcing policies and procedures.
Meets maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity and resolving problems.
Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
Implement corrective actions.
Maintains function and reliability of facility systems, operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Manage maintenance department costs within budgetary guidelines
All other duties assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent
and Plant Engineer
Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goal attainment.
Participate in plant HAZMAT team
Schedule and direct workforce assigning projects to appropriate personnel, track attendance in Kronos system correcting any errors when necessary
Skills and Qualifications
Supervision, staffing, strategic planning, troubleshooting, job knowledge, computer skills and ability to learn SAP computer system.
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, flexible hours and some weekends
Ability to perform general mathematical calculations
Demonstrate strong leadership and critical thinking skills and be able to manage conflict
Ability to lift upwards of 60 pounds and stand/ walk for extended periods of time
Knowledge of HACCP
Must have hydraulic, pneumatic, and experience in fabrication.
