This state-of-the-art extrusion and polymer manufacturing facility relies on strong controls and operational technology support to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.## Job SummaryThe Controls Technician supports the maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and optimization of industrial control systems across the Buffalo facility. This role works closely with Controls Engineers, Electricians, and Maintenance teams to ensure PLC, SCADA, HMI, and related systems operate safely and reliably in support of production.## Key Responsibilities* Perform routine maintenance on control systems and operational technology to ensure optimal performance* Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues with PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs, sensors, and related equipment* Conduct system tests and inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions* Partner with electricians and maintenance technicians to troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues* Assist with installation and configuration of operational technology hardware and software* Follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to ensure accurate system integration* Develop, evaluate, and update electrical preventive maintenance (PM) procedures* Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and system repairs* Assist in preparing technical reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions* Update system documentation and manuals as required* Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations* Perform other duties as assigned**Qualifications*** High school diploma or GED required; additional technical education or training preferred* Specialized training in PLCs or equivalent hands-on work experience* Minimum of 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment* Understanding of industrial control systems and operational technology* Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Ignition systems preferred* Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and machine documentation* Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems* Ability to use precision measuring instruments and interpret data accurately* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills* Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team* Ability to lift moderate weights and work in a physically demanding environment* Must be at least 18 years of age**Compensation & Benefit Information**
**Salary Pay Range:** $34.00-$40.00 per hour dependent on experience\*
