Position Overview Banko Overhead Doors is hiring a motivated Garage Door Installer Apprentice to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn professional garage door and opener installation alongside an experienced Lead Installer. No prior garage door experience required but a plus—just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with installing garage doors and openers in both new construction and residential homes.
Learn installation fundamentals and progress through structured apprenticeship training.
Follow all safety procedures on job sites; help maintain a clean, safe workspace.
Work as part of a two-person installation team.
Lift and handle materials (70 lbs independently; assist with 90+ lbs).
Provide excellent customer service to homeowners and builders.
Qualifications
High attention to detail.
Construction or mechanical experience preferred (not required).
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Reliable and physically able to perform job duties.
Willing to learn and grow within the company.
Starting pay: $22/hr
Performance reviews at 6 months and 1 year
Company truck, gas card, SunPass & tool program provided
Training & Advancement
Certification through Banko University at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year
