Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Transplant Surgery (Night Shift)
Join our Transplant Abdominal Surgery team in Phoenix, AZ to provide inpatient post‑operative management for kidney, pancreas, and liver transplant recipients. This is a night‑shift‑only position that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will:
Conduct advanced health assessment and decision‑making skills within the framework of a formal educational program meeting professional criteria.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide continuum of care for assigned patients, including primary health care and specialty‑specific care to individuals and families.
Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmacological agents and treatments, and provide non‑pharmacological therapies.
Teach and counsel individuals, families, and groups, monitoring therapeutic interventions and making appropriate referrals.
Perform minor procedures as approved by the AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants.
Demonstrate leadership through committee involvement, team projects, education, research, and participation in professional organizations and community activities.
Qualifications
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner:
Masters‑prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program; current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as an ACNP.
Physician Assistant:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date; DEA registration required.
Transplant or Internal Medicine experience preferred.
A cover letter is preferred and should be included with the application.
Exemption Status Exempt
Compensation Detail Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
