Staff RN, Interventional Radiology – OhioHealth
Join us to provide individualized, goal‑directed general and critical care nursing to patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, emergent and therapeutic procedures. Nurses must be familiar with caring for acutely ill intensive‑care patients and titrating intravenous medications. The role collaborates with interventional radiologists, radiology technologists, and anesthesiologists to provide procedural comfort and high‑quality patient experience.
Job Description Summary This position provides individualized, goal‑directed general and critical care nursing, assessment, procedure preparation, and sedation monitoring for patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, emergent and therapeutic procedures. Nurses will care for acutely ill intensive‑care patients, titrate IV medications, collaborate with the health‑care team, and ensure high service standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assessment/Diagnosis – Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments and diagnoses.
Outcomes Identification/Planning – Document planned nursing interventions based on diagnoses to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluate responses to interventions, document outcomes, and revise the care plan as needed.
Leadership – Participate in process‑improvement activities to achieve clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance metrics.
Operations – Maintain focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or a multi‑state compact state license in good standing.
BLS certification.
BSN required within 5 years of employment.
Additional Job Description Day shift, 40 scheduled weekly hours in the Interventional Radiology department.
