ARRT Radiology / Limited License X‑Ray Technologist (Urgent Team – FT/PRN)
Urgent Team is looking for experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X‑Ray technicians to join our team in Maryville, TN.
Job Summary This position will perform X‑ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The technician will operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the exam room with the necessary equipment and supplies. Additionally, the technician will perform Medical Assistant duties.
Key Responsibilities
Promptly greets patients when entering the waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or X‑ray room.
Consistently communicates with patients on wait times and provides direction to the next step in the treatment process.
Provides solutions to patient problems and seeks help in emergent or hazardous situations.
Executes follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.
Assists front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary.
Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes a brief history, past medical, family, and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
Assists with patient transfers.
Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visits.
Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.
Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regard to patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the manager or provider on duty.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources.
Maintains current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure.
Schedule Full‑time team members work a rotating 36‑40 hour / week schedule, consisting of 12‑hour weekday shifts and every‑other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as‑needed basis.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
BLS Certification.
AR State X‑Ray License.
ARRT Certification preferred.
Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
