What We Offer
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (no weekends or holidays).
Location: 1520 Physicians Dr, Wilmington, NC 28401.
Department: GI Surgery Clinic.
What You'll Do
Coordinate and assist providers to ensure safe, high‑quality and cost‑effective services and care for patients within the practice population.
Deliver a remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.
Promote teamwork, member engagement, and community involvement.
Leverage diversity and inclusion to support quality care.
Maintain a safe patient environment driven by the principles of “First Do No Harm.”
What We're Looking For
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program with a curriculum that includes pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire and an education agreement signed. Accepted certifications include:
CMA – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
CCMA – National Health Career Association (NHA)
RMA – American Medical Technologists (AMT)
American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
American Allied Health (AAH)
RMA – American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
Experience:
Previous work in a medical office preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA, or CCMA, required.
Additional skills required:
Ability to successfully complete generic and department‑specific skill validation and competency testing.
