Varco Home Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing team in Houston Texas. We have positions open in the Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast areas. This is a PRN (as-needed) position offering flexible scheduling—ideal for clinicians seeking work-life balance or supplemental income. As an OT with Varco, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients improve independence and safely perform daily activities through high-quality care delivered in the comfort of their homes. We are looking for a dependable, patient‑centered clinician committed to providing evidence‑based, individualized care.
Key Responsibilities Conduct Patient Evaluations: Perform comprehensive assessments to determine functional abilities, home safety needs, and individualized goals.
Develop Individualized Care Plans: Create patient‑specific treatment plans focused on improving ADLs, fine motor skills, cognitive function, and overall independence.
Patient & Caregiver Education: Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment use, safety strategies, and techniques to support continued progress.
Monitor and Document Progress: Complete accurate and timely documentation of visits, patient responses, changes in condition, and updates to care plans.
Deliver Compassionate, High‑Quality Care: Provide empathetic, supportive, and goal‑focused treatment to enhance quality of life and functional independence.
Qualifications
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Texas (TX)
Home health or rehabilitation experience preferred
Strong clinical reasoning and ability to tailor treatment to individual needs
Knowledge of evidence‑based therapy practices and standards of care
Strong communication skills and a professional, patient‑centered approach
Valid Driver’s License
Kinnser/WellSky EMR experience preferred
Work Location On the Road (Serving the Houston Texas area)
