Director, Energy & Infrastructure Group (EIG) – Latin America Crédit Agricole Bank International (CIB) is looking for a Director to support its growing Energy & Infrastructure Group (EIG) within the Energy and Real Assets division (ERA) in Latin America. The EIG LatAm team covers Power, Infrastructure, Mining, and Oil & Gas (midstream and downstream), operating across Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, and Colombia.

Key responsibilities include originating, structuring, executing, and monitoring project finance transactions. The Director will lead commercial efforts, develop financing proposals and pitch books, support deal teams across multiple sectors, and work closely with cross‑functional teams (Syndications, Derivatives, Project Bonds, M&A, and Client Coverage) to deliver optimal solutions.

Main Responsibilities

Lead marketing, draft financing proposals/pitch books, research sector opportunities and report on client meetings.

Structure, execute, close, and distribute project finance transactions in Latin America, including term sheet negotiation, financial modelling, and due diligence coordination.

Run the internal credit process under supervision of a transaction director, ensuring a thorough credit application and smooth review with credit officers.

Familiarise with internal systems and procedures, contribute to data integrity and accuracy within the bank’s systems.

Communicate efficiently with clients throughout the transaction lifecycle to funding.

Support portfolio monitoring, negotiate waivers, review annual reviews, identify financing optimisation opportunities, and maintain dialogue with project sponsors.

Supervise and coach junior staff in credit analysis and financial modelling.

Qualifications

10–15 years in banking or energy & infrastructure sectors.

Master’s or MBA degree.

Project finance knowledge.

Analytical and credit‑analysis skills.

Team‑player with initiative.

Ability to work directly with clients (advisory assignments).

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

Intermediate to Proficient in Spanish (French and Portuguese are plus).

Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of CACIB systems.

Other Relevant Information

Available for travel when required.

Base pay range: $200,000 – $240,000 per year.
