Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details
Location: North Richland Hills, TX 76180 (Dallas‑Fort Worth area)
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown Unit
Start Date: December 29, 2025
End Date: March 30, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8‑hour day shifts)
Hours per Week: 40
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,860 – $2,000
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
At least 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or acute care nursing
BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
Proficient in cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and clinical assessment skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiovascular surgery in a cardiac stepdown setting
Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, cardiac treatments, and interventions as prescribed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on post‑operative cardiac care and recovery
Document patient care and progress accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
