Responsibilities
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
Promote continuous quality improvement.
Teach and counsel patients/families.
Set goals and develop treatment plans.
Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient‑specific and facility‑wide needs.
Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, as well as supervising PT and PTA students.
Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
Monitor patient's response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions, as needed.
Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in‑services.
Minimum Qualifications
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
