Job Description Registered Nurse - Cardiac
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse - Cardiac to provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role is essential in the assessment, monitoring, and treatment of patients recovering from cardiac procedures or experiencing acute cardiac events.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver nursing care to patients with heart-related conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, post‑MI, and post‑surgical cardiac cases.
Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognize and respond to changes in cardiac rhythms, and initiate appropriate interventions.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and assist in diagnostic procedures such as stress tests or echocardiograms.
Collaborate with cardiologists, technicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding cardiac disease management and lifestyle changes.
Document all nursing care, observations, and communications accurately in the electronic medical record.
Support emergency response efforts and follow facility protocols for cardiac emergencies.
Qualifications
Active RN license in good standing.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in cardiac, telemetry, or step-down units required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and telemetry equipment.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills.
