Pediatric Speech Pathologist
Hourly pay range: $35.39–$56.63/hr.
Job Details ChristianaCare, a nationally recognized top 100 hospital, is hiring a full‑time Pediatric Speech Pathologist. Candidates will provide speech and language assessment and treatment for children from birth through school age in outpatient settings (Wilmington Hospital or Springside) and in natural environments.
Responsibilities
Screens, identifies, assesses, interprets, diagnoses, rehabilitates, and prevents disorders of speech (articulation, fluency, voice) and language.
Screens, identifies, assesses, interprets, diagnoses, and rehabilitates disorders of oral‑pharyngeal function (dysphagia) and related disorders.
Screens, identifies, assesses, interprets, diagnoses, and rehabilitates cognitive/communication disorders.
Assesses, selects, and develops augmentative and alternative communication systems and provides training in their use.
Provides aural rehabilitation and counseling services to hearing‑impaired individuals and families.
Enhances speech/language proficiency and communication effectiveness (e.g., accent reduction).
Screens hearing and other factors for the purpose of speech/language evaluation and initial identification of individuals with other communication disorders.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology or equivalent.
CPR certification required.
Delaware license to practice speech pathology.
