ChildServe
ChildServe is looking for a Nurse to join our Medical Childcare team. Our program offers a specialized environment for children with medical complexities who live at home but need a higher level of care than traditional daycare can provide.
In this role, you’ll provide compassionate, skilled care to children ages 6 weeks to 21 years with complex health‑care needs, while supporting each child’s health, growth, and skill development. You’ll be part of a fun, collaborative team that’s passionate about making a difference.
Schedule
PRN 1 to 3 days per week – Monday to Friday
Preferred shifts: noon to 6 pm or 3 to 6 pm
How You’ll Make an Impact
Provide full range of nursing services, including administration of medications, feedings, and treatments to meet each child’s daily care needs.
Perform ongoing assessments as needed.
Assist with creation or recertification of care plans (RN only).
Implement child’s care plan, including nursing, therapy, and behavior support, conducting baselines and support plans.
Monitor children’s response to care.
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to ensure health and safety needs are addressed.
Assist clients in becoming as independent as possible through skill development and retention.
Provide comfort measures, including positioning and use of safety devices.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely records.
Document daily observations and any health, physical, or behavioral changes.
Communicate with clients, licensed professionals, ChildServe personnel, families, schools, and the public in a courteous and professional manner.
What You’ll Need
Current valid RN or LPN license in Iowa.
Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and be mobile within clinic areas – frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
