We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Personal Trainer to join our Health & Wellbeing team, where you’ll have the opportunity to create personalized training programs, motivate clients, and make a meaningful impact. You’ll work one-on-one with clients, guiding them through safe and effective workouts that help them reach their fitness goals. As a Personal Trainer, you’ll not only support individual members but also contribute to a larger mission of building a healthier, happier community.
Responsibilities
Personalized Training: Develop custom workout programs based on each client’s unique needs, ensuring a safe and effective path to their goals.
Client Supervision: Maintain a strong focus on client safety and exercise technique during sessions.
Emergency Readiness: Be prepared to respond quickly and calmly in emergencies, providing first aid or CPR when needed.
Engagement & Support: Create a welcoming environment for all members, staff, and volunteers, embodying the YMCA’s values of inclusivity and support.
Facility Excellence: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness area for all.

Qualifications
First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (current)
Personal Training Certification (NCCA accredited)
Familiarity with OSHA and emergency procedures is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in fitness training or a related role preferred.
Skills: Must be self-motivated with the ability to attract and retain personal training clients.
Minimum Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, swim and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
