Job Summary As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.

Every day you will apply your keen assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.

Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy based on patient’s age, cognitive and physical abilities, and/or developmental needs.

Make recommendations for changes in specific modes of therapy.

Educate patients and arrange home respiratory care services and patient therapy follow‑up assessments using language and materials appropriate for age, cognitive and physical abilities, and/or developmental needs.

Assume responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in department meetings, in‑service programs, and continuing education programs.

Maintain established department policies, procedures and objectives concerning quality assurance, safety, environmental conditions and infection control.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy education program upon hire.

Respiratory Care Practitioner: AR upon hire.

Registered Respiratory Therapist within 30 days.

Basic Life Support – CPR within 30 days.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days.

Pay Range $26.70 - $39.71 /hour
