Physician Recruiter

Job Summary The Physician Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and implementing the strategic initiatives necessary to recruit high-quality physicians and advanced providers to the Deaconess Medical Staff. This role requires initiative, creativity, and flexibility to meet recruitment goals across the Tri-State region. While located in IL region, travel to Evansville, IN will be required.
Essential Functions Planning
Conduct needs analyses to determine marketing, sourcing, and screening strategies for recruitment.
Review provider requisitions and develop hiring strategies to meet staffing needs.
Maintain a strong knowledge of the health system to effectively assist candidates with inquiries.
Marketing
Provide verbal and written information about Deaconess to candidates.
Represent Deaconess at community functions, meetings, and events.
Develop recruitment ads, mailers, and other promotional materials.
Assist in creating content for the Deaconess website and intranet.
Sourcing
Coordinate job postings and distribute them to relevant external entities (universities, career websites, etc.).
Attend physician job and career fairs as required.
Screening
Review candidate inquiries to assess their suitability for open positions.
Conduct phone screenings and interviews as requested by hiring managers.
Refer qualified applicants to hiring managers for further consideration.
Coordinate interview logistics, including travel arrangements for candidates and families.
Request references and release forms from applicants as needed.
Hiring & Administering/Coordinating
Maintain sourcing files for various positions.
Enter and retrieve applicant data using applicant tracking systems.
Offer recommendations for budget and cost-saving strategies.
Provide feedback to candidates about the status of their applications.
Coordinate recruitment events as scheduled.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous healthcare experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
