Position Overview The
Registered Nurse – Progressive Care
provides high-quality nursing care to patients requiring
intermediate-level monitoring
and treatment. This role supports patient safety, clinical excellence, and collaboration within a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based
patient care
in the Progressive Care Unit
Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and clinical protocols
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Support patient and family education
Maintain compliance with infection control and safety guidelines
Required Qualifications
Active
Registered Nurse (RN)
license (state eligibility required)
Minimum
2 years of experience
in Progressive Care or related specialty
Required Certifications:
BLS
ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in
PCU, Step-Down, or Telemetry
units
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
