$48.00/hr - $57.00/hr

Job Summary The Certified Surgical Technician provides surgical assistance to surgical residents and attending physicians in the Oral Surgery Clinic and Dental Ambulatory Operating Room/Procedure Room. The CST ensures a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment while delivering high‑quality patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities
Escort patients to the surgical chair and screen patients awaiting procedures.
Review medical records to confirm required treatment and ensure documentation is complete (notes, PMH, lab results, etc.).
Provide continuous “four‑handed” chair‑side assistance to clinicians.
Clean and disinfect countertops, mayo stands, equipment, and operatory areas prior to setup.
Organize and prepare sterile instruments, surgical trays, and equipment for each procedure.
Take radiographs as requested before, during, or after procedures.
Monitor patient vitals, assist with suctioning, pass instruments and medications as directed.
Remove instruments and equipment post‑procedure and dispose of medical waste properly.
Restock cabinets and drawers; order and maintain surgical and medical supplies.
Demonstrate the ability to respond effectively and calmly during emergency situations.
Requirements
Minimum
2 years of recent CST experience

Ability to float to Perioperative areas
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols
Compensation
Hourly (Travel):
$57.50/hour
Local Rate:
$48–$50/hour
