Part-Time (15–25 hours/week, flexible)
About the Role We’re looking for a highly organized
Credentialing Specialist
to join our support team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in helping us onboard and maintain compliance for dental providers across our offices. Ideal for someone with previous experience in credentialing or dental admin work, this role offers flexibility and the chance to be part of a growing, mission-driven dental group.
Responsibilities
Handle all credentialing and re-credentialing processes for dental providers across multiple payers (PPOs, Medicaid, Medicare, etc.)
Submit and track applications for NPI (Type 1 & 2), insurance panels, and license renewals
Maintain credentialing records and track expiration dates
Communicate with providers and payers to ensure timely follow-ups and complete documentation
Keep leadership informed of credentialing status, upcoming renewals, and any delays
Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with payer and regulatory requirements
Coordinate credentialing needs for new providers and/or new practice locations

Requirements
Prior experience with dental or healthcare credentialing strongly preferred
Familiarity with CAQH, NPPES, payer portals, and credentialing databases
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, email, and credentialing trackers
Highly organized and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision
