About Certified Meat Products Certified Meat Products is your local, family‑owned, USDA inspected meat processor based in the agricultural heart of California.
From raw to fully‑cooked, we pride ourselves in delivering a full line of Beef, Pork, Lamb and Poultry products. We specialize in producing premium ground beef, portion‑controlled steaks, marinated and value‑added products.
Job Focus Process and cut proteins for production needs of the day per direction of management.
Shifts May vary depending on production and company needs.
Overtime As necessary.
Description of Work Environment The work for this position takes place in production facilities. The production rooms are equipped with a refrigeration system that sustains the temperature at 35°-45° F. The room is also equipped with long tables used for processing meat products; machinery used to grind meat; warehouse machinery and conveyor belts to transport boxes. The room is well‑lit and has a level concrete floor that can be wet. The production room is also equipped with a loading dock and heavy‑duty rack shelving to house product.
Description of Job Tasks
Maintain inventory of necessary equipment
Ensure equipment is in proper working order and perform daily maintenance.
Label all product properly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area throughout shift.
Adhere to all GMPs and safety protocols.
Follow all cutting and trimming specifications.
Physical Requirements/Environment
Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
Requires prolonged standing during work hours.
Requires stooping, kneeling, bending and reaching.
Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
Must work in and around fumes and odors.
Must work in lower temperature environment (35°-45° F)
Safety Clothing/Equipment
Must comply with company dress code.
Layered clothing is advised.
Company Provided: helmet, smock, gloves, hair and beard net.
Non‑slip shoes or boots
Optional: back brace, cut resistant apron, and/or other safety equipment available at employee request
