JOB TITLE : Pre-Operative/PACU RN Shift:

4 days, 10 hours/day, 0630-1700 General Summary of Duties

Direct and be accountable for the nursing care of patients in the Pre-Operative Assessment and Testing outpatient setting Ability to teach and share knowledge with ancillary services (anesthesia), and physicians in patient preparation for surgical procedures. Ability to multi-task with excellent telephone communication and charting skills Strong empathy when dealing with the patient and family undergoing surgical interventions Good interpersonal skills Organize and deliver pre-operative patient education, based on the specific needs for the patient Task include gathering histories and performing physicals, use anesthesia guidelines for pre-operative testing if not previously ordered by surgeon. Gather and evaluate lab work, EKG's, and surgical clearances Qualifications

Must hold current license for a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia 2+ years experience in Pre-Operative Setting Benefits
