Job Description: Cath Lab Technologist
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Baltimore, MD. This role involves assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, supporting physicians and patients in a high-acuity environment. Candidates with Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience who can scrub for cath lab cases will also be considered.
Responsibilities
Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including stent placement, ASD closures, pacemaker insertion, and PCI
Provide accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, and access site preparation
Maintain sterile field and scrub for procedures, including vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
Support rapid response team and adhere to isolation precautions as needed
Document patient care and procedural details accurately
Participate in 10 on‑call shifts per month (1 Friday, 6 Mon–Thurs, 3 weekend 24‑hour shifts)
Minimum Qualifications
Active Maryland Board of Physicians certification
ARRT or RCIS credential
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
At least 1 prior travel assignment
Compliance with facility flu vaccine requirement
Preferred Qualifications
Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience, including AICD insertion, pacemaker programming, and cardiac ablation
Interventional radiology or special procedures experience
Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills

Location: Baltimore, MD 21237
Facility: Adult and geriatric patient population, average 5 cases/day
Shift: Day, 4x9-hour (7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), Monday–Friday
Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: January 12, 2026
