The Perianesthesia Registered Nurse (RN) provides pre-operative/procedural care, including nursing assessment, consent, and H\&P validations, initiation of IV fluids, peripheral nerve block assistance, lab and test coordination, surgical site verification, and medication administration, as ordered.
Duties
Nursing assessment of patients, consent, and H&P validations.
Starting intravenous fluids including venipuncture.
Assisting with peripheral nerve blocks.
Assuring all lab work and other pre-operative/procedural testing is completed and communicated to team members.
Confirming surgical sites are prepared and marked.
Administering medications as ordered.
