Essential Functions
Must be able to communicate with others in spoken and written English to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the business.
Records purchases and maintains database.
Performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to office records, or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels.
Verifies clerical computations against physical count stock and adjusts errors in computation or count.
Investigates and reports reasons for inventory discrepancies.
Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods.
Restocks items as necessary and labels shelves.
Liaise with vendors and purchasing agents and prepares deliveries.
May perform other clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones and assisting customers.
Performs other work as assigned.
Physical Demands
Performs work that involves walking or standing most of the time.
Involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis and 50 pounds occasionally.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
Specialized vocational courses/training in advanced computer skills on multiple software programs is preferred.
PC based software applications such as Microsoft Word/Excel experience required.
Must have two (2) or more years of previous administrative experience involving the recording and dissemination of information, property storage responsibilities, asset management or inventory control.
Special Certifications and Licenses
Driver’s License may be required.
