The Ho-Ho-Kus Public School District is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Long-Term Leave Replacement Teacher for a lower elementary classroom. This position will begin in mid-April 2025 through the end of the school year. The successful candidate will assume full classroom teaching responsibilities and maintain continuity of instruction for students. Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with district curriculum and New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Assess student learning and maintain comprehensive records of student progress. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. Establish and maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and concerns. Collaborate with grade-level team members, support staff, specialists, and administration. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and required school events. Implement district policies, procedures, and initiatives. Maintain accurate attendance, grade, and assessment records. Support students' social-emotional development and character education. Perform other duties as assigned by building administration. Qualifications
Required: Valid New Jersey teaching certificate with appropriate elementary endorsement (P-3, K-6, or equivalent). Bachelor's degree in Education or related field from an accredited institution. Demonstrated expertise in elementary curriculum and developmentally appropriate instructional practices. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with educational technology and instructional tools. Understanding of diverse learning needs and differentiated instruction strategies.
