RN – Renal/Oncology/Palliative Care – As Needed – Nightshift
Meritus Health – 5 East, Hagerstown, MD. This nightshift role involves providing expert nursing care in a 28‑bed Medical Surgical unit focused on Renal, Oncology, and Palliative Care.
Schedule:
As Needed, 6:30 pm – 7:00 am. Must work 5 shifts within a 6‑week period.
Responsibilities
Provide compassionate clinical support to patients, including medication administration and monitoring progress.
Administer a wide range of therapies: cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood transfusions, pain control (PCA/PCEA), chemotherapy and biotherapy, peritoneal dialysis, wound care, and palliative care.
Collaboration: Work seamlessly with patients, families, and interprofessional team members to deliver optimal care.
Maintain high standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Requirements
Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of hospital nursing experience.
Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in Maryland (or compact state license meeting Maryland criteria). Magnet Recognition Program™ specialty certification preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Compassionate nursing practice, basic computer skills, strong organization and communication.
