Responsibilities Opened in 2010, Palmdale Regional Medical Center is a 184‑bed acute care hospital located in Palmdale, CA. It is one of Southern California’s newest hospitals featuring all‑private patient rooms and provides high‑quality, award‑winning patient care to residents and visitors of the Antelope Valley and surrounding areas. Palmdale Regional is active in the community, partnering with the Antelope Valley Board of Trade/Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance (now AV Edge) and other civic and governmental groups. The hospital believes in "Community Service Excellence" and supports nonprofit agencies and healthcare‑related organizations.

Performs interventions identified for each nursing diagnosis on the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care.

Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate patient care needs to all members of the multidisciplinary health care team.

Conducts patient/family education that is appropriate to the patient’s age, learning needs, level of understanding, and readiness to learn.

Includes the family/significant others when appropriate.

Documents nursing interventions and patient teaching.

Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years’ experience in cardio‑thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery.

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

Written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills.

Basic organizational and computer skills.

Registered Nurse with current California RN license.

Current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association.

Current ACLS certification.

Current PALS certification preferred.

CNOR preferred.
