About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Kearney, Nebraska, 68845!
Unit Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care – refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract.
RN's – Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned – they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated.
Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.
Scheduling: will not approve blocked scheduling unless it’s weekends only; will not take duos that want the same schedule or share a car.
2nd floor main hospital, 24 beds, Nurse to patient ratio: team care model, Census: 14 patients daily, Specialties: oncology, renal, urology, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, general med.
Required at Initial Perm Address: CHI Health Good Samaritan, Kearney NE 268 Bed facility – Member of Catholic Health Initiatives, Accredited Chest Pain Center, Level 2 Trauma center, Ranked the #5 Hospital in NE in US News and World report.
Location highlights: Kearney NE Sandhill Crane capital of the World (From Feb to early April, 80% of Sandhill cranes converge in Kearney), Every July on the Second Sunday, art in the Park at Harmon Park, Pawnee Earth Lodge, Great Platte River Roadway Arch, Eggers Cabin Trails and Rails Museum, Classic Car Museum, Firefighters Museum, Fort Kearney Museum. 15 miles east of Kearney on HWY 30 is Gibbon. Spencer Vineyards and Winery is a new winery to visit. Approx. 360 miles to Denver, Co; 180 miles to Omaha, NE; 320 miles to Kansas City, MO; 560 Miles to Minneapolis MN.
Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13‑week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks. Charting Systems: EpicCare Inpatient – EMR. BSN required. License to Trauma Level: 2. Shift Notes: 12 hr nights. Required Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week. Contract Weeks: 91.
