Lens Source Optical Lab Technician

We are growing our team at the Lens Source Optical Lab in Wabash and are looking for a Technician to join our Finish Side department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, staying organized, and being part of a team that supports one another while working toward a common goal.

Essential Responsibilities
Determine workflow of job trays and insert lenses into frames
Work across multiple Finish Side functions, including Check‑In, Layout, Insert, and Check Out, depending on daily needs
Assist finish production leads through effective communication
Maintain an organized and clean work area and ensure equipment is properly cared for
Follow confidentiality requirements in accordance with HIPAA
Monitor MWEC processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
Potential cross training opportunities available once role has
Demonstrate strong attention to detail with a process‑focused mindset to ensure consistent, high‑quality outcomes
Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision
Perform work with excellence, accuracy, and pride in quality
Contribute positively to team culture by supporting teammates and fostering a collaborative work environment
Physical demands and work environment
This position requires standing, walking, reaching, grasping, repetitive motion, talking, and hearing throughout the workday
The role involves medium physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently
Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work
The work environment includes moderate noise levels and exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, heat, and chemicals
