Job Overview The Speech‑Language Pathologist I provides diagnostic evaluations and intervention programs for children with speech, language, learning, feeding/swallowing, or hearing disorders in all settings in which services are offered including but not limited to inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and telehealth programs. The Speech‑Language Pathologist I is an entry‑level position in a Career Advancement Program (CAP).
Responsibilities
Completes case management activities consistent with department quality assurance and quality improvement standards. Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames. Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and other educational institutions, and other providers to ensure the continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services. All interactions are non‑judgmental and based on mutual respect.
Demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to improve the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital.

Minimum Qualifications
Education – Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or related field.
Certification – BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR; American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) – Speech‑Language Pathologist.
Licence – State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) license; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employment.
Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience. Hourly Range: $37.82 to $56.73.
