Job Summary The EyeCare Advisor creates exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering the LensCrafters experience. The Advisor ensures that all patients receive high‑quality Optometric care, is responsible for key performance indicators, and integrates the Brand Story with flawless execution of patient experience while seamlessly linking the doctor and retail functions.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Greets customers promptly, within 30 seconds.

Answers the telephone within three rings in a courteous manner.

Explains required paperwork, tests, products, and services.

Reviews prescriptions and patient information for special needs, consulting with Optician, Managing Doctor or Retail Management as needed.

Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.

Performs work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.

Identifies unsatisfied customers and acts quickly for resolution.

Demontrates knowledge of appointment booking, scheduling, and computer procedures.

Organizes and files patient records in accordance with HIPAA.

Places contact lens orders, processes shipments, and submits invoices for payment.

Operates the POS terminal accurately, following security procedures and retaining proper change.

Explains “One Hour” processing and expected delivery times.

Takes pride in store appearance and ensures visual displays follow company guidelines.

Maintains a safe working environment for associates and patients.

Responds quickly to changes in store promotions, communicating updates and providing point‑of‑sale materials.

Retail

Demonstrates product knowledge, describing features and benefits of lenses and frames.

Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses best suited for vision, lifestyle, and budget.

Doctor’s Office

Performs all pre‑examination testing accurately, explains measurements, and answers patient questions.

Uses clinical and product knowledge to coach patients on contact lens care and handling.

Maintains and disinfects contact lens inventory, providing clinical support to the Optometrist as needed.

Basic Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

Strong customer service skills (internal and external).

Knowledge of current fashion trends.

Strong communicator and listener.

Problem‑solving ability.

Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.

Organization skills.

Sales skills.

Strong basic math skills.

Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Benefits & Compensation Employee pay is determined by geography, experience, qualifications, and local minimum wage requirements. Compensation may include a bonus and/or commission. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and employee discounts.
