Mfg Assembler- ROTO WORK SHIFT Third Shift (United States of America)

JOB DESCRIPTION The Assembler I has ownership of the assembly stations assigned. They are responsible for safety, efficiency, quality, and overall productivity. The Assembler I will be expected to perform basic and intermediate assembly processes within the department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Follow a prism-based schedule.

Ability to properly assemble basic and intermediate components within the Roto department which includes but is not limited to cleaning parts, tapping inserts, bolting and/or using self-tapping screws to secure components to main body part.

Order and control hardware and ensure all inventory is accounted for.

Ability to recognize and follow departmental quality guidelines.

Perform all aspects of product packaging including boxing, labeling, taping, stapling and stacking cartons using established pallet patterns.

Knowledge of using basic hand and power tools.

Maintain a personal efficiency rating in accordance with Key Performance Targets not to fall below 100%.

Willing to cross train as needed in all the assembly cells which include non-Foam line, Ingredient Bin line, LCD line, Ferry 11-line, Bus Cart line, Kits, Packs, Food Bar & FSG line, Routing, Re-box area.

Print labels using computers and proper application methods.

Perform FG (finished goods) transactions with all associated labeling requirements.

Follow all established assembly procedures and work instructions.

Access the ESP program via computer.

Ability to follow verbal assembly instructions and repeat processes.

Adjusting to different work assignments throughout the workday.

Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including punctuality and dependability to meet departmental and organizational needs.

Execute each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully.

Follow all safety procedures required in work area, wear PPE as needed, attend all safety meetings, and report safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.

Perform effectively as a team member, work well with others, be open to receiving and giving feedback, and treat everyone with respect.

Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.

Follow all department quality standards/criteria; raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.

Understand department's key performance indicators and contribute to achieving these goals both individually and as a team.

Other duties as needed or required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes to meet business needs.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Comprehend instructions and communicate effectively.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

ERP system experience with Prism, Intermec, and/or AS400 system.

Bilingual in Spanish.

Driving cars, trucks, forklifts and other equipment.

Working around equipment and machinery.

Exposure to excessive noise.

Walking on uneven ground.

Operation of foot controls or repetitive foot movement.

Risk of exposure to bio-hazard while working such as bloodborne pathogens, sewage, hospital waste, etc.

PPE REQUIREMENTS

Safety glasses

Utility gloves

Steel-toe slip-resistant shoes

Hardhat

Hearing protection (e.g., ear plugs, ear muffs)

Face shields

Face covering (mask) in accordance with company policy.

COMPENSATION RANGE $17.40 - $17.50

Salary may vary based on experience.
