Job Description As an Office Associate, you will support an entire office location with general administrative task (vs operational support) such as greeting scheduled visitors, maintaining supplies, arranging for equipment or facility maintenance, entering data or performing word processing work. You will coordinate the logistics for office events or the logistics for office moves (e.g., moving office furniture, packing files, etc.). You may provide back‑up support for reception/switchboard or the mailroom or be responsible for these functions in a small location.
Responsibilities
Reads and routes incoming mail.
Composes and proofreads routine internal and external correspondence.
Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondences and other records.
Answers and screens manager’s telephone calls and arranges conference calls.
Greets scheduled visitors and directs to appropriate area or person.
Conducts research and compiles statistical reports.
Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, and transcribes minutes of meetings.
Maintains supplies and arranges for equipment maintenance.
Performs basic accounting duties, such as receivables, payables, and invoice approval preparations.
Assists in performance of general administrative procedures.
Qualifications
High School Degree or Equivalent required.
1 year required, 3 years preferred of administrative support experience.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner is preferred.
Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities is preferred.
Ability to adapt to changes in the workflow and is able to multitask is preferred.
Compensation Details: $19.13 - $22.96 Per Hour
This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
