Position Overview We are looking to add a dynamic UVM Senior Specialist to our passionate team of environmental professionals. The role involves overseeing the capital project portfolio related to vegetation management, ensuring compliance with project milestones and budget parameters while supporting overall project success.
Job Duties
Project Management and Coordination
Supervise day‑to‑day operations within the project scope, adhering to milestones and stage gate reviews.
Liason with contractor scheduling and coordinate client vegetation management specifications.
Represent the client vegetation department to the project team and stakeholders, communicating status, plans, and deliverables.
Assist in implementing client vegetation management processes and procedures.
Coordinate and communicate with client capital lead and support teams (construction management, real estate, environmental).
Evaluate project scope and make necessary modifications to meet client expectations.
Create reporting for client as requested.
Monitor project progress, address variances, and identify corrective measures.
Performance Monitoring and Quality Assurance
Provide forecasts for milestone completion.
Provide insight into contractor productivity, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Oversee resolution of customer concerns and property damage claims.
Lead and coordinate compliance with vegetation reliability standards, including bid package preparation, remote sensing review, record‑keeping, data entry, and audit preparation.
Documentation and Record Keeping
Keep all project documents current and stored appropriately in a digital platform.
Monitor client data management systems.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or related field.
Proven experience in vegetation management, project management, or environmental program administration.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ISA Certified Arborist (expected) and Utility Specialist (preferred).
Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification or equivalent (CAPM, PGMP, PIM‑ACP) or previous project management experience.
