MUST-HAVES
Experience in the
wholesale apparel industry , specifically selling manufactured products to large retailers
Strong background in A/R management,
collections, chargebacks, cash posting , and customer account setup
Experience working with a
factor and credit insurer
Proven ability to resolve chargebacks and issue credits accurately
Solid understanding of credit approvals and risk mitigation
About the Role Our client, a leading wholesale apparel company in New York City, is seeking an
Accounts Receivable Manager
to oversee the full A/R cycle and ensure efficient collection processes. This role requires deep experience in wholesale operations, retailer compliance, and high-volume payment management.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Management
Oversee the full A/R cycle including collections, cash application, and chargeback resolution.
Review and approve credit for new customer accounts.
Set up new retail customers and ensure accurate account data.
Cash Posting & Deposits
Post cash daily and reconcile A/R balances.
Manage check and electronic payment deposits.
Collections & Chargebacks
Lead collections efforts for past‑due accounts and maintain strong customer communication.
Handle, research, and resolve chargebacks; issue credits when appropriate.
Risk Management
Work closely with the company’s factor and credit insurer to maximize credit support and reduce financial risk.
Monitor account activity to identify potential credit concerns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with sales, operations, and finance teams to resolve account issues and streamline processes.
