Property Accountant
A great UHY client is seeking a
Property Accountant
to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a CPA (or working on it) and public accounting experience.
The
Property Accountant
is a client direct hire position. This position is hybrid, being in office Mon, Tue, and Wed.
Responsibilities
Prepare complete, accurate and timely financial statements, including supporting account reconciliations for multiple entities on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Record monthly recurring and non-recurring journal entries precisely with appropriate supporting back-up documentation
Prepare monthly cash distributions
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts on a timely basis, with follow-up and resolution of all reconciling items in the next accounting month
Review, code and approve invoices for payment
Assist with document and supporting information compilation requests associated with 10-Q, 10-K and buy/sell real estate transactions
Ensure proper internal controls and compliance
Develop working relationship with various members of the organization including community and regional managers, accounts payable, asset managers, investor relations, and senior management
Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Complete special project analyses and ad-hoc requests assigned by Manager/Director
Education & Skills
BA/BS in Accounting
1-3 years of accounting or equivalent experience
Strong work ethic with a “take ownership” mentality
Strong knowledge of Excel
