Responsibilities
Receiving material coming into the warehouse
Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
Work in ERP system to lookup orders and email contacts
Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas orderly.
Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
Assembling and filling orders to be shipped
Preparation of all shipping documentation.
Ensure warehouse/equipment is maintained on a regular basis.
Core competencies
Must be able to read and match orders on shipping tickets without assistance - solid reading skills a must
Must have basic math and reasoning skills in order to identify products by size/type/style/color or product code
Must be able to pass power truck certification program
Operate inventory control systems and possess moderate computer aptitude
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum two years warehouse and forklift experience
Capable of operating powered material handling equipment
Strong command of the English language - written and verbal
Physical requirements
Able to move/lift to 50 lbs unassisted
Able to withstand temperatures in a warehouse environment
Position spends workday standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection
