Schedule for Material Inspector:
Shift: 1st
Rotating days worked
Monday - Friday, some weekends as needed.
Position Summary for Material Inspector:
We are looking for someone energetic who loves interacting with people and customers face to face. You will be working outside most of the time to work with the truck drivers coming in. We are happy to train on equipment and our recycling business, and want a customer service representative who is seeking to learn and grow within a company.
The Material Inspector interacts with customers while inspecting various grades of material upon delivery into the yard. Sort and upgrade materials to meet quality standards per established protocols. Operate small equipment as needed to process and prepare material prior to shipment.
Sort, process and inventory material by operating shears, balers, loaders and forklifts.
Assist with the purchasing various grades of material from customers.
Assist customers with the unloading of their material.
Assist with the packing and loading of material prior to shipment.
Operate crane as necessary to provide overflow coverage.
Qualifications for Material Inspector:
Six months operating small equipment experience preferred
2+ years working with customers face to face in high volume (automotive service desks, waiter/waitress, face to face sales is all good experience!)
Basic computer skills
Good interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Accuracy in operation and attention to detail
Knowledge in inventory control
