High School Diploma or USA equivalency
One year of office experience, including test coordinating
Basic typing skills at 40 wpm
Demonstrated ability to successfully complete assignments with close supervision
Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job. A remote working environment /alternate work arrangement is not an option for campus-based employees because regular and punctual attendance at the worksite and performing all duties at the worksite are essential job duties for all campus-based personnel. Responsibilities
Organizes and manages routine work activities of the office Coordinates activities pertaining to the special needs of the office Maintains a regular filing system and processes incoming correspondence as instructed Places and receives telephone calls and recorded messages Types all documents and correspondence, as required Orders and maintains supplies, as needed Processes all district forms Responds to inquiries from employees and the public in an accurate, knowledgeable and efficient manner Communicates with departmental staff, principals, teachers, and others outside the district in oral and written form Accomplishes assignments using computer software including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and project management applications Prepares periodic status reports related to assigned functions to the immediate supervisor Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned Demonstrated flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world Demonstrated willingness to remain current with the latest developments in the profession Demonstrates ability to interface with all departments in the District Demonstrated skills in meeting the public, Dallas Independent School District Executives and other professionals Work Locations
