Registered Nurse (RN) – Best Fit Program Milwaukee, WI, United States
Best Fit Orientation for new RN's This innovative program provides exceptional support of newly licensed Registered Nurses through in-depth experiences on three different specialty units at St. Luke's Medical Center.
Applicants will work in a cohort with support and collaboration throughout the program.
In collaboration with the BFO Program Manager, three specialty units will be selected for the unit rotations.
Participants will staff with a preceptor for 3 weeks, (36 hours per week), on 3 Specialty Med/Surg units. Program progresses for a total of three months.
Through a Realistic Job Preview of each unit's culture, the candidate will determine and choose which unit best fits their career goal for longevity.

Full time - 36 hours per week
Holiday and weekend rotation.
Sign on Bonus up to $10,000
Student Loan Forgiveness up to $20,000
Nightshift differential: $5.00 per hour
Weekend differential: $4.00 per hour

Requirements
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
Active Registered Nurse licensure in Wisconsin
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Develop collaborative relationships with a resourceful multi-disciplinary team.
Coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Continuity of patient care through 12-hour shifts, patient centered care and team minded support.
Become a valued member of a highly skilled, resilient, and versatile nursing team committed to ensuring the delivery of quality and compassionate healthcare to diverse patient populations.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. over the head.
Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
Must be able to perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
Position requires use of foot pedals on carts or machines.
May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
