Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Day Shift, 24 hours.

Major Responsibilities
Escort patients to examination rooms, take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, etc.) and document patient health status.
Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point‑of‑Care (POC) tests according to clinic/office standards.
Prepare, document, and administer non‑intravenous injections as directed or required by the clinic’s scope of practice.
Assist in performing routine physical examinations or clinical procedures.
Review laboratory results and promptly notify physicians and appropriate parties when abnormal results are identified.
Position Qualifications License/Certification/Education – Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) certification from the American Heart Association. Must be obtained within 3 months of hire; otherwise employment may be terminated or the applicant may seek another position.
Medical Assistant credential approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.). Must be obtained within 1 year of hire/transfer; otherwise employment may be terminated or the applicant may seek another position. An extended grace period may apply under extenuating circumstances.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions The position requires work indoors in a patient‑care office or clinic environment. Hand dexterity, adequate hearing and vision, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and standing/walking most of the time are required. Medium demand with occasional heavy equipment movement.
Medical Assistant II Required All of the above qualifications must be met, and the Medical Assistant certification or registration must already be in place prior to the start date.
