For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. This bonus will be prorated for part-time positions. The
Patient Service Representative (PSR )
serves as the first point of contact for patients within the
Surgical Care Farmington
ambulatory practice. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting patient scheduling, registration, and administrative functions to ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
Schedule & Location
Full-time:
40 hours per week
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Onsite position - no remote or hybrid work
Location: 181 Franklin Health Commons Farmington, ME 04938
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Greet patients in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner
Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and referral information
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
Answer incoming phone calls and route messages appropriately
Collect co-pays and process payments in accordance with MaineHealth policies
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Communicate effectively with clinical staff to support patient flow
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and MaineHealth confidentiality standards
Perform general administrative and clerical duties as needed
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience: Previous office experience with medical office experience preferred.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
